Becoming A Community Member
How It Works
Becoming a member of the Gaia Sagrada Community is not hard. Basically, come and try it out and see how it goes! We give everyone a chance. There is an application process to see if it’s the right fit, to make sure we all have the same goals, but we welcome everyone.
We require a 2 month commitment to try it out. The reason we ask for 2 months is because that is the minimum amount needed to know if this is a place you want to be for a while. After that it is month to month, no contracts. By making this entry commitment we get only serious requests for this opportunity, rather than people trying to just get a cheap vacation.
Two months goes by fast! However, it is enough to know if you would like to be part of this community and for us to get to know you as well.
If you want a much shorter visit, one or two weeks, come to a retreat! That’s how to visit for a short time if you want to check it out quickly.
Becoming A Community Member
When you come to Gaia Sagrada jump right in and make friends! It’s easy to make friends here, everyone is family. Get to know everyone, participate in activities, share with us who you are.
If you have specific workshops or activities you would like to facilitate, please let us know. We give everyone a chance to share and shine here.
Participate in making community meals, helping with the gardens, whatever you are attracted to. Community members do 14 hours per week of work. It’s not much, but just enough to keep things clean and meals going! We usually get any work there is to do out of the way in the morning between 10-12.

There is nothing you have to prove, and no hoops you have to jump through. Just be yourself, be helpful, be part of the community, and you’re in!
If you can get along with other people, handle conflicts in a mature way if anything comes up, there will be no problems. You will enjoy being here and we will enjoy having you.
We understand everyone is evolving and growing, so please do be a human, you don’t have to be perfect. All we ask is that when growth moments come up you do the growth.
