Logistics
Logistics
Here are some of the logistics about living at Gaia Sagrada. We understand the idea of moving to another country is a big step for some, or at least living in another country for a while. At Gaia Sagrada you will feel quite at home with fellow English speakers, and typical things foreigners do, but Ecuador is another thing altogether.
Ecuador is a lovely country, incredibly beautiful, and the people are extremely friendly and helpful to foreigners. As long as you are polite and respectful, you will have good results.
Of course, the clean mountain air and the nature will inspire your soul!
Language, Pets…
You don’t have to speak Spanish to live at Gaia Sagrada, but outside of here you might want to have some basic Spanish that you can easily gain through online Spanish courses. You can even learn some basic phrases free on Youtube!
We have three loving dogs who will smother you with affection and want to be smothered with affection by you. Unfortunately you cannot bring your pets here, but if you need some doggy darshan, there’s plenty for you here!
Food, Alone Time…
With food, we provide all the basics, like fruit, veggies, staples like rice, quinoa, lentils and beans, cereal, oatmeal, eggs, milk, butter, and many other normal things you would expect in any kitchen. If you want any specialty items, you will need to get them.
When it comes to being alone, there are many places all over our property where you can be alone. Even if you’re sharing a room, you can find alone time. We have many sitting areas and you can even hike off on your own a short distance from the community center and you’ll have your own space!
